BPBible

BPBible 0.5 Beta 2 contains all of the changes in the first beta, which are listed here. In addition, it restores support for a number of features which were in 0.4.7 but did not work properly in beta 1, adds a few features, and fixes other problems found with the first beta. These changes are all listed below.

Restoring support for 0.4.7 features

Restored support for the Manage Fonts dialog, including changing the default font settings and changing the settings for particular modules or languages.

Restored support for zooming in and out on the text.

Restored support for opening scriptural tooltips from other scriptural tooltips.

Restored support for changing the current Bible version from the version comparison window.

Restored support for searching on the current word, cross-reference, Strong's Number or morphology tag when it is right-clicked on.

Restored support for viewing all conf file entries for a book in the Book Information window (not just the main entries).

Restored support for showing a tooltip when hovering over a morphology tag and opening the entry in the morphology dictionary when clicking on a morphology tag.

Improvements

Added support for showing in the Book Information window the URL to visit to obtain an unlock key for a book (if it is present in the book's conf file).

Added a few additional languages for Bible book names from the SWORD project.

Made all non-Bible books (e.g. dictionaries, commentaries, and other books) display the current reference at the top of the window rather than part way down like in the Bible window. This makes it clearer which is the current reference.

On Linux, added support for finding xulrunner-stub (used in Debian) as well as xulrunner (used in Ubuntu).

Bug fixes

Fixed a bug where the text for all versions in the comparison window was shown Right to Left if the current Bible was Right to Left (e.g. Arabic, Hebrew).

Fixed display issues which led to some passage tags having extra whitespace in them.

Fixed a bug which meant that clicking on a cross reference or on a verse number did not change the current chapter in the header bar or add an entry to the history.

Fixed a bug which caused BPBible to have an error when searching for cross-references.

Fixed problems where the wrong entry was being highlighted in the search window's reference preview.

Fixed a bug which caused tooltips for references like "Genesis 3:1 - 4, 7" to instead display "Genesis 3:1 - 4; Revelation 1:7".

Fixed crashes when trying to display the Personal Commentary in BPBible, and added a warning that the Personal Commentary is unsupported.

Fixed a bug where footnotes were displayed as "*n" rather than using a numbered footnotes if cross-references were expanded.

Fixed a bug where changing the current version would change the current verse to a verse several verses earlier.

Fixed a bug where if there was only one verse on the screen would display "Genesis 1:4 - 4" rather than "Genesis 1:4" in the reference bar.

Fixed formatting issues in the NET Bible.
