Little bug (?) in ver. 0.5 Beta 4 bug

Installed the 05 beta 4, and the only new thing i see is that when you place your cursor in the the search box in the Search window, then the "words to search for" tool tip pop us covers where you type, so you cannot see what you are typing, which for me i like to see. It does not seem like the previous versions acted like that. Of course, moving the cursor away results in the tool tip going away.

BTW, the abbreviations discussed before for books Romans and Revelation Thessalonians (rm, rv, ths) are not yet added to the bpbible.conf file, but again this is no real issue.

May God give you grace and help. (cf. Ps. 138:8)

Re: Parsing error

I get this error from time to time. I know I have investigated it, but I can't remember whether I could find any problem to fix and if so what it was. I'm afraid I'm not in a good position to check right now.

Re: Little bug (?) in ver. 0.5 Beta 4 bug

The "words to search for" tooltip shouldn't have changed. I get exactly the same tooltip in the latest development version and in 0.4.7, which I agree could be annoying, but usually doesn't seem to be.

The abbreviations for Romans and Revelation were scheduled to be added for beta 5 when it comes (I hope in the next few days, but I'm not sure it will be). I don't recall seeing a suggestion for Thessalonians, but it makes sense so I added that as well.

They do not change, but while

They do not change, but while the cursor is on it then the tool tip covers where you want to type or paste. Again, no big deal. Also in the Bible view the name of the book and chapter covers the end of the first sentence.

BTW, could they be a way to right click and copy a verse directly from the top pane of search results rather than selecting it from the bottom?

I want you to know i really use BPB a lot (thus my emphasis on speed), and appreciate it. Thank God for your heart to publish the Word.

Re: Copying verses in search panel

I'm sure I have something on my list of things to do at some point to do with copying from search results more nicely. However, that list is a very flexible list, and of course I can't guarantee anything in a timely manner (unfortunately).

The laborers are also ways

The laborers are also ways few, and for more we must pray, but you are an answered prayer.

I get an error when i close

I get an error when i close down Windows without shutting down BPB first with beta 3:

"An error occurred on closing:
ObserverList.remove(x): x not in list.

Thought you might want to know.

Just saw you have 0.5 Beta

Just saw you have 0.5 Beta 5, and installed it. Looks good, and i have not tried the shutdown (I have lots of things running and rarely reboot) but will let you know. But i still see a problem with the tooltip in the search window query bar, besides it initially blocking some of the text if you try to change it. Copy a few words and try to right click paste them into it. One the first try the tool tip blocks it for me on this beta as well.

Thanks for the new abbreviations. Prv for Proverbs would help get us to mach 5 also.

Edit. I did do a restart w/out closing BPB and i get the ObserverList.remove(x): x not in list error on this beta as well. Also, what purpose does the heading option serve under Edit? Deselecting it only seems to move the top margin, but the name of the book is still there (and obscures the right side of the first line).

Re: BPBible 0.5 Beta 5

I haven't looked into the ObserverList issue at all, so it is unsurprising it was still there.

I have added Prv as abbreviation for Proverbs.

The search tooltip does not prevent me from right-click pasting. I'm not sure why it is different for you.

The Headings option only changes the showing/hiding of the headings in the text of Bibles like the ESV (e.g. section headings, chapter headings, ... that aren't in the original Hebrew/Greek text). Maybe there should be an option to hide the reference at the top right. I'll think about it.

Thanks for the addition. The

Thanks for the addition. The tooltip for me in other progs will be below the bar, and will allow me to right click on text and copy it the first time, whereas in BPB the tooltip is blocking the text, and if you left click on it and then right click to get the copy menu, then it deselects the text before i can get a menu, and it takes 3 times before it will work.
