First you need to go to the 'extras'download site
http://www.crosswire.org/sword/modules/index.jsp
and download some of the things you want.

Dead easy! You can reach all of the sites above through the help menu on BPBible and the "install new books", as per instructions above, is in the file menu. Have fun, it's a great programme

all i did was open a second browser with the downloadable books i wanted from the "help/download books on the top bar in the program then down load the books i wanted in the zip files and saved them (not open) in the same folder that the pbbible program was in. then go to the file/install books on the top bar of the bible program, point it using the brows function to my folder containing the books just downloaded click on the zip file and they appeared right where they belong. i too was intimidated by all of the reqirements to install other stuff to make it work but this way was much simpler. hope these instructions work better for you.
