User Friendly for Restrictive Countries?

I live and work in an open country among a "closed" people group. Minority languages can now easily be converted from the translator software to the sword format using linux's Bibledit. BPBible portable program is looking great for distributing minority language scriptures, especially when a USB drive costs less than $2. This would means the limited number of pastors/believers from this people group could begin creating Bible studies/sermons/whatever in their native language and BPBible can be a great tool for that, especially if the note taking section of the program is incorporated into it.

However...the name becomes a problem. How much more in countries where gospel work is restricted. Is it possible to get a alternative distribution with these countries in mind? Names like the new Xiphos that is coming out or even e-sword are less problematic in a public area, but they use the image of the cross and are not portable. BPBible has an ok image, but the name immediately could cause some of our believers problems. Maybe the menus could be an abbreviation like BT's (for Bible Translations or Biblical Texts) and the name of the program could be something like Berea Searcher the Flexible BT Study Software or something that isn't as recognizable. These are just ideas.

A password entry to the program could also prove useful if that was possible.

I think most of the renaming

I think most of the renaming should be already possible with a translation or with changing the program's .conf file (though the splashscreen would need changing).

Password entry could be done, I suppose. But deleting the password from somewhere would allow entry for someone who knew how to. The bottom line is if anyone wants to find out what a program is, they probably can. So it wouldn't afford complete protection.

I doubt there will be an official BPBible PortableApps distribution which does this. An unofficial one should be possible.

I think its not a big deal to

I think its not a big deal to make an extra exe file with password protecting. And even make it selectible while installing, like "check this box if you want to install password protected version of BPBible". Even so simple hack as a wrap. Launcher .exe calling main exe, renamed to .dll. THis simple trick can work for general purposes.
As for the splash, i think you can make it external resourse as well, or/and create a "show splash screen" option in options.
