Bible version creation tool?

I realize that BPBible is for Bible study, but as i can see now there's no bible creation tool on the market, so what do you think about idea to make BPBible a Bible creation tool at some point?
Or the format you use in your software read-only, and you have no idea how to replase strings?

Module creation is possible,

Module creation is possible, but we haven't implemented it yet.
Have you looked at http://www.nongnu.org/bibledit/ at all? I haven't tried it, but this is meant for creating bibles.

Yes, but this thing doesnt

Yes, but this thing doesnt work at all for me.
Can you implement module creation in the future?

User editable content

Progress towards user editable content is tracked by http://code.google.com/p/bpbible/issues/detail?id=45. See http://bpbible.com/node/59 for earlier comments by me on the topic. Quoting from there:
"However, as you will see from there it is very unlikely that it will be included in the next release, as we have other more issues that are more important (though less user visible, I'm afraid) to attend to.

In short, it is a high priority addition, but we are still unable to get onto it soon for technical reasons."

Unfortunately, this still applies. Even with this support in place it is unlikely to be targeted towards creation of formal modules for distribution, but more for user notes and similar things (at least in initial implementations).

It could be good hand for the

It could be good hand for the Bible translators and commenters though! For me, for example. Or for example, for some communities, like adventists, or seminaries, who decided to make own translations, based on some of the existed.
And as i said before - community tools, like browser integration for community comments/forums/questions/answers per-verse would be very important innovation.
Actually, i know one program, that can do it.
It is Bible Exprorer (bible-explorer.com)
It is nearly what i think is a perfect Bible Software.
BUT it has some inconvenient behavior, that i'm not very happy with, that i can't use it with harmony inside myself, so i'd rather do not use it.
I'd really really want to see something very close to that in your product! Or somewhere else ;)

Community tools

Some community tools might be helpful, but it is outside the core problem we are addressing. It is better to have support for things useful to a community before sharing them with a community.

I have used BibleExplorer. Some things about it were nice, some things were extremely frustrating. It feeds into my ideas about Bible software, as does any other piece of Bible software I have used.

I cannot support Bibledit, but so long as it can be got to work it seems to make much more sense using something that is available now rather than trying to change this software away from its core purpose to provide such functionality.
