Good evening, i just download bpbible 0.4.7 portable. when i deactivate 5 minutes antivirus of bitdefender, i run bpbible and all is ok, the software runs good. after, i tried in bitdefender antivirus, to create exclusion on the directory of bpbible --> don't work after, i tried exclusion in Active Virus Control --> don't work |

Hi Guys, I reported the same error for 0.4.5 but then I had no error to report. The work around is to run the program in win xp terminal elmulator. But now, after installing an running the latest version, I found the following error message in the log file. Hope it helps you to solve the problem. Error message from logfile... Hi, Noticed something strange. BPBible doesn't work on my Win7 64bit laptop, although the previous version worked under win vista 64bit. It starts, the splash is shown and then it shutsdown without warning or error. The same behaviour was seen on the winXP 32bit laptop of my wife. Both laptops have the latest updates installed. |

Trying to follow guide here: http://code.google.com/p/bpbible/wiki/RunningBPBible I've downloaded the sword engine from SVN, svn co https://crosswire.org/svn/sword/trunk/ sword In the directory sword/bindings/swig/package, I've run ./autogen.sh, then ./configure, then make pythonswig and get this: mkdir -p python Is there something I'm missing? |

One way to improve this already excellent software is to add a wiki item on finding and installing fonts that display Greek properly, particularly accented characters. After considerable searching and surfing the web, I discovered that the fonts I lacked were already present on my computer, yet not in the correct place. The fix was simple. The following worked for me (using BPBible 0.4.4 on Windows XP) and may well work for others. |
